Paul Panek is an independent Registered Piano Technician,
who services clients in the Metropolitan Boston and Southern New
Hampshire areas. Paul does business as Pianocraftsman and
provides a full-range of services including tunings, repairs, regulations,
appraisals, humidity control and rebuilding. Paul services every
piano as if it were a concert grand.
Paul was educated as an Industrial Engineer and worked in manufacturing
for more than 15 years. Paul's life-long love of music and pianos
influenced his career change to Piano Technology. Paul was accepted
to the world-renowned North Bennet Street School (NBSS)
where he had the opportunity to learn from some of the most gifted
piano technicians in the industry and earned his two-year diploma
in Advanced Piano Technology.
Paul also successfully met the rigorous requirements of the Piano
Technicians Guild (PTG) and was
awarded the designation of Registered Piano Technician (RPT) after
passing a three-day comprehensive exam. It consisted of written
and technical (repairs and regulations) exams as well as an aural
tuning that was evaluated by three Master Piano Technicians.
Paul is an active member of the PTG whose mission is to facilitate
the exchange of information regarding improvements in technology
and service of pianos among piano technicians. Paul is also the
President of the Boston Chapter of the Piano
